You can start caring for your baby’s oral health before they even have any teeth. Use a gentle wipe or a very soft bristled brush to cleanse the gums. Once your baby has teeth you can start to wipe or brush them; use a toothbrush with a small head with soft bristles to clean the teeth twice a day. As they get older, they will be able to hold the brush independently and you should encourage them to brush their teeth twice a day (with help if necessary) from a very early age.
